ARPF Volunteer Center
The American River Parkway Foundation hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new American River Parkway Volunteer Center on June 16, 2004. Construction is nearly complete.
The Volunteer Center is located at the William Pond Recreation Area. The one-story 1800-square foot building will house the Parkway Foundation's offices, facilitating volunteer coordination efforts. It will provide a central location for volunteer training workshops, equipment storage, meeting space for the nonprofit associations that support the American River Parkway, and information for Parkway visitors about the Parkway and how they can become volunteer stewards.
The construction of the Volunteer Center is entirely funded by the American River Parkway Foundation, with donations from individuals and companies
