Spring Clean Up - Saturday,
April 21st (9am - 12noon) |
 |
|
The mission of
the American River Parkway Foundation is to support the preservation, protection, enhancement,
and appreciation of the American River
Parkway by fostering environmental
stewardship, facilitating volunteer
opportunities, and funding and implementing
Parkway projects and programs.
As a part of this
mission we conduct the annual Earth Day
Spring Clean Up. We need your
support for this very worthy event.

here to register as a clean up volunteer.
This
year there are 7 public sites
for the Spring Clean Up. At each site, look for large signs reading
"River Clean Up".
All volunteers must sign in. Volunteers under age
18 must obtain parental/guardian consent. If you are under 18 and
will be participating without your parent, please bring a signed
Youth Permission Form.
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. We suggest that you bring a
long-sleeve shirt, sunscreen, a hat, and water.

Participation
in the
Earth Day Spring Clean
Up is a real contribution to the health of the
Parkway and river. Removing trash and debris prevents pollutants from entering
the watershed, harming the wildlife, or creating hazards for recreational users.
Additionally, keeping the Parkway clean protects ocean life by preventing trash
from being washed downstream during the winter rains.
NOTES:
1. When you arrive at your clean up site please follow the signs
to the "River Clean Up" station where you will
check in.
2. Volunteers under 18 must bring a completed
parental/guardian consent form in order to
participate.
3. Please wear long pants/shirts, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a hat.
4. Click here to review the
Safety Guidelines. Please read then prior to volunteering.
For more information please do not hesitate to contact the
