WHY a Campaign?
Some may be asking
why is the
Foundation undertaking such a campaign at this time, when the economy is
hurting and people are losing their jobs?". The Foundation is aware of the economic time but believes that the
Parkway is such a resource and treasure to the residents of the Greater
Sacramento area that without our financial assistance the Parkway will not
exist in the future. The
foundation is a joint caretaker of the parkway, along with the County of
Sacramento. The budget cuts
within the County Parks Department have impacted us making it more important
than ever, for us to continue in raising funds to protect and maintain this
natural treasure.
So our goal is to CONNECT with the 8 million plus visitors to the
parkway to help bring about public awareness, volunteer opportunities and
protection of the land.
Connect with us today and take a personal interest in keeping your community
Parkway open and thriving!
