The American River Parkway Foundation is pleased
to announce its 2009 funding procedures for 2010 grants.
The ARPF Foundation is a publicly supported 501
C 3 charitable organization dedicated to supporting parkway preservation,
beautification projects and restoring habitat. The Foundation provides
grants to organizations, clubs, and others engaged in parkway preservation.
The majority of the Foundation grants are awarded through a two-step
competitive process: a Letter of Inquiry, and a grantee interview.
Our average grant is between $5,000-$15,000.
Organizations that have already received funding from the Foundation may
apply in writing for renewed support as part of the required progress
report, providing the request is for the same program. If an organization
has already received funding and is requesting funding for a new program, a
Letter of Inquiry is required.
Application Process: Those interested in
submitting a proposal should first submit a Letter of Inquiry form. The LOI
should include the following: Purpose and need for funding; Amount of funds
requested: Detailed budget; Evaluation of the proposed project; Duration of
the proposed project. The LOI should be no longer than 3 pages with an
additional page for the budget.
Before submitting your Letter of Inquiry,
please read the Foundation Grant Application Guidelines
to determine whether your organization and program meets our funding
requirements.
Deadlines: The Letter of Inquiry requesting
funding for the 2010 calendar year must be received in the American River
Parkway Foundation office no later than July 18, 2009. You will hear within
two months whether your organization will be invited to an interview. Being
invited for an interview does not guarantee funding. We request that you
send your Letter of Inquiry to the American River Parkway Foundation as
early as possible.
