The American River Parkway is a natural treasure, unique to the Sacramento area. Think about it - 23 miles long, covering about 5,000 acres, right in the center of our urban area! We're so lucky - but we can't take the Parkway for granted.

Support The Parkway - Buy Your Sacramento County Parks "Passport to Parks" Today!
The American River Parkway Coalition invites all users of the Parkway to consider the purchase of a Passport as a membership
in your County Parks. Passports are only $50.00 for cars - they pay for themselves in ten visits to any County Park including the American River Parkway,
Gibson Ranch and Sherman Island. The Passports are a dedicated funding source for the Dept. of Regional Parks - all proceeds remain within the Department.
In 2005, Passport memberships generated more than $200,000, helping to fund Parkway staff, including two full-time maintenance positions and a full-time
ranger position.
The Parkway Foundation, in conjunction with Save the American River Association and the American River Natural History Association, has committed to raising $20,000 for the County Dept. of Regional Parks through the sale of Passports. Help us meet our goal!
If you purchase through the Parkway Foundation, you will receive a map of the Parkway valued at $5.00. Order online by choosing the On-line Payment menu item above (a $2 credit card processing fee applies), or call the Parkway Foundation at (916) 486-2773 for order details.
Purchase a pocket-size map of the Parkway. The maps fold out to 11X34 and include bike and equestrian trails, vehicle access and parking, boat ramps, and amenities. The reverse includes information about the history of the Parkway, habitat, vegetation and wildlife, and safety tips. These maps make a great gift or teaching tool, too! Click here for a mail/fax order form, or buy them online." We also accept map orders by phone at (916) 486-2773. The maps are $5 each. Bulk orders of 20 or more are available at a reduced price.
