The ARPF
cares for the 23 miles, and about 5,000 acres of the American River's foreshore
between the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and the confluence with the Sacramento River.
Purchase a pocket-size map of the Parkway.
The 11" x 34” color map, which folds to a
convenient pocket size, is an excellent resource for users of the
Parkway and the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail.
County bike and equestrian
trails, vehicle access and parking, boat ramps, picnic areas, restrooms, and
camp sites are shown on the map. Information about the history of the Parkway,
habitat, vegetation and wildlife, safety tips, Parkway resources, sites of
interest are also included.
